We're just too lazy.

Graham- Actually I do have a credit union account but it's in New Jersey. So I need to get one out here. Maybe I can wean myself off big banks.

Jacob - I boycotted citibank for 10 years cause they were bastards to me when I lost my job and wanted to make special payment arrangements -- or at least I thought I boycotted them. Then I realized my Universal Mastercard was basically owned by citibank. anyways.Girl With An Alibihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15209257359349550309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10422330.post-1120163938299184262005-06-30T13:38:00.000-07:002005-06-30T13:38:00.000-07:00By the way... We don't have Mom and Pop banks like you do in the states. All our banks are like Bank of America, that is they're all national, which is nice. I remember being down in Califoria and we had to rove around TRYING to find some bank that would exchange Canadian currency. That would never happen in Canada. That having been said, it is true that the only reason Banks exist is to make themselves wealthy and customer service is out of Bombay and won't be able to change anything anyway. GO CREDIT UNIONS! At least if they say no it's someone you can look at who actually has the authority to say no. Not some corporate policy being decided on by some dick in Toronto two thirds of the the continent away. The Royal Bastards of Canada(stick bank in for the B word) are my most reviled bank. When I was 12 they started charging transaction fees on the kiddy accounts for EACH transaction. Some kid who wants to put $5 in his account is gonna have to pay $1 service charge for the privelege. That sure screwed them out of my patronage for life. That and when I cancelled my account they didn't ask me why, the guy just picked up a big pair of scissors and cut my card in half and walked away. Real smooth. Ok, I'll stop ranting now.Dex2177https://www.blogger.com/profile/05830381077682560766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10422330.post-1120161690910652182005-06-30T13:01:00.000-07:002005-06-30T13:01:00.000-07:00Thank goodness for Wells Fargo here in Texas.
